PRUNUS PADUS - MAYDAY or EUROPEAN BIRD CHERRY - a multi-stemmed low branched tree which may reach 15 to 25 feet in height. It is native to Europe and northern Asia. Showy, early blooming flowers are white drooping racemes which produce black cherries in July. Fruit is similar to chokecherry.
