  White ash tree

FRAXINUS AMERICANA - WHITE ASH
- a tall, spreading tree native to the northern and central United States. May reach 40 to 60 feet in height on favorable sites. Prefers a deep, moist, well-drained soil, intolerant of high pH and droughty soils. Best used in eastern Dakota's, Minnesota, Iowa, and Eastern Nebraska. Climatic zone 4 and warmer.
