AMORPHA CANESCENS - LEADPLANT
A multi-stemmed subshrub to shrub reaching 3 feet in height and width. The pinnately compound leaves are densely wooly and silvery gray in color. Small, purple, flowers are produced in terminal spikes in June. Prefers a well drained site, does well on sandy soils. Native to the central U.S., common prairie and plains plant.
