VIBURNUM TRILOBUM - AMERICAN CRANBERRY BUSH | Print |

Viburnum trilobum – American Cranberry bush - A medium to tall, multi-stemmed, upright to rounded form shrub reaching 6 to 12 feet in height and spread.  May be taller on partially shaded sites and develop a leggy form.  Large, flat topped, white flower clusters appear in late May followed by orange red to deep red fruits which persist well into the winter months.  Prefers a good well-drained, moist soil for best growth.  Closely related to the European cranberry bush.  Native across Canada and the northern U.S.
