| Tilia tomentosa – Silverleaf Linden – Silver linden is a large pyramidal to oval shaped tree reaching 50 to 65 feet in height on favorable sites with deep, moist, fertile soils. Leaves are silvery, pubescent on the undersides giving the common name Silver linden. Native to southeastern Europe, zone 5 hardiness, reported to be more heat and drought tolerant than other linden species but not as cold tolerant. |
