ACER SACCHARUM - SUGAR MAPLE | Print |
Acer saccharum – Sugar or Hard Maple (climatic zone 4) – A medium to large, hard wooded maple native to the Midwest, northeast U.S., and southeast Canada.  Reaches 50 to 65 feet in height and spread on favorable sites of well drained, moist soils of neutral or slightly acid pH.  Prefers full sun for best growth.  Use adaptable seed origins for your area of planting.
